About Verniera

Five instruments, one rule: show the number, and say where it came from.

Why this exists

Most sites in this category are built to convert, not to measure. They promise exact counts they cannot produce, "HD" images they upscale, and follower packages delivered by accounts that will never like anything. The measurement is the bait.

Verniera is the measurement. Type a public username, get a number, see the time it was read. There is no account to make, no password field anywhere on the site, and nothing for sale.

How it works

Every instrument here reads what a public Instagram profile already shows to anyone who visits it. That is the entire mechanism, and it is also the ceiling: where Instagram publishes a rounded figure, these tools show the rounded figure; where Instagram publishes nothing, these tools return nothing.

Two of the five produce estimates rather than readings. The audience quality score and the earnings range are arithmetic against public benchmarks, and both are labelled as estimates on the card and shown as ranges. A range that admits what it does not know is more useful than a single number that pretends.

What Verniera will not do

  • Ask for an Instagram password. No tool needs one to read a public profile.
  • Claim access to private accounts.
  • Sell followers, likes or views.
  • Show a figure without the time it was read.
  • Store the usernames you look up. They are hashed, held for an hour so the rate limit works, then deleted.

The design

The reference is a measuring instrument rather than a social app: light meters, transit signage, technical drawings. That is why the numbers are set in tabular figures, why calibration ticks run along the edges of things, and why there are no icons anywhere on the site — where an interface would normally reach for an icon, this one uses a label, a tick mark, or the measurement itself.

It works at 360 pixels wide, because most of the people using it are on a phone.
